In Part I I introduced you to this multi-award winning Australian brand who brings us a range of natural, ethically developed skincare to heal, balance and nurture. In Part II, I review a few more items including a lip balm, oil serum, body cream and bar soap, so please read on…
Frankincense & Orange Body Cream
The Frankincense & Orange Body Cream is a highly indulgent body cream concentrate that sinks into the skin to restore suppleness and elasticity.
Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) butter⁺, Camellia oleifera seed oil, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) oil, Adansonia digitata (Baobab) oil, Sesamum indicum (Sesame) seed oil, Macadamia ternifolia oil, Cannabis sativa (Hemp) seed oil, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) oil⁺, Citrus sinensis (Orange) peel oil, Boswellia Carterii (Frankincense) Oil, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) and Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) leaf extract. Limonene from essential oils.
Ingredients 100% certified organic. ⁺Fair trade. Vegan. Palm oil free.
The short, all natural, 100% certified organic, vegan formula gets a clean bill of health from the CosDNA resource. Lead by a good dose of unrefined Shea Butter, it’s rich in fatty acids and antioxidants to offer superior moisturisation that helps fortify the skin barrier as well as encourage healing. It’s an ideal inclusion for dry, reactive and itchy skin.
Meticulously chosen for their skin compatibility, fast absorption, lightweight texture and emollient behaviour, the blend of natural fats is ideal for easing dryness as well as offering relief from conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. The fatty acid rich cream employs nourishing oils from Camellia, Baobab, Macadamia, Jojoba, Hemp and Sesame Oils to maintain soft, hydrated and supple skin. Comprising 50% Lauric Acid, Coconut Oil is a heavy duty moisturiser included to further combat flaky skin.
Essential oils from Orange Peel, Frankincense and Limonene comprise the brand’s signature scent which is absolutely beautiful. Mokosh puts it best, describing it as:
deeply meditative, balanced with upbeat citrus, helping to calm the mind and uplift the spirit.
Consistent with the Mokosh zero waste philosophy, the elegant glass jar and plastic lid are recyclable. The product retains a solid but creamy state, although you can see the effect an hour in the sun had on this jar, reducing its density, making it slightly runny but no less indulgent. Warming it in the palms transforms texture to an oil consistency for easy spreadability. Only the smallest amount is required ensuring the 100ml jar lasts a long time. The perfect amount absorbs quickly however, being too heavy handed can result in oily residue and a longer dry down time. Personally, I enjoy using it after a shower at night, since its aroma also promotes relaxation with peaceful slumber guaranteed. It combines the best of body oil and cream into the one product. The next morning my skin feels baby soft and supple. A stubborn eczema patch behind one knee that I continue to tolerate is eased, raw redness from irresistible scratching is calmed overnight. This cream is simply the perfect winter accompaniment.
Coconut & Blackcurrant Lip Balm
The 100% organic Coconut & Blackcurrant Lip Balm is suitable for the whole family, including infants and children. Rich in potent, barrier-restoring botanicals that protect and nourish, it promises to leave lips soft, dewy, plump and deeply moisturised.
Cocos nucifera (Coconut) oil⁺, Prunus armeniaca (Apricot) seed oil, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) oil, Cera alba (Beeswax), Theobroma cacao (Cacao) seed butter⁺, Persea gratissima (Avocado) oil, Cannabis sativa (Hemp) seed oil, Ribes nigrum (Blackcurrant) seed oil, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) and Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) leaf extract.
Ingredients 100% certified organic. ⁺Fair trade. Contains beeswax. Palm oil free.
CosDNA returns an all green report for the short formula, confirming product safety.
Coconut Oil together with Beeswax provide occlusive properties to help trap in moisture while fatty acids boost skin softness. Apricot, Hemp, Blackcurrant and Sunflower Seed plus Jojoba Oils boast excellent emollient and moisturising strength to keep lips supple and soft. High in antioxidants and saturated fatty acids, Cacao seed butter and Avocado Oil additionally assist healing and protection. Calming and antibacterial effects are introduced with Rosemary Leaf Extract which together with coconut and cocoa are responsible for a delicate and delicious scent.
Presented in a cute glass jar, the dense balm has a natural, golden hue. The combination of oils and butters is divine, coming together to deliver a natural lip treat. As it’s applied with a finger, given Covid-19 concerns, I use this at home only, so throughout the day you’ll find this either on my desk, bedside table or pocket. It’s the first and last thing I put on each day.
The balm comes out of the jar in solid state and turns instantly to liquid when applied to the lips. The sensation is so satisfying that I find myself pressing my lips together a lot after application. The concentrated formula ensures only the smallest amount is needed so this cute little jar has served its purpose throughout the winter. It leaves behind a nice low sheen gloss while it works to restore lip suppleness. Any dryness is eliminated pretty much on contact.
All lip products require regular application and this is no exception, top ups needed every few hours. My lips don’t particularly become chapped or flaky (not unless I’m battling a cold), but winter conditions leave them a little dry so I rely on a balm to keep them healthy and fresh. The longer I apply it, the fewer reapplications I find I need to maintain soft and hydrated lips.
Pure, clean, organic, local and cruelty free… this Aussie winner does the job!
Rose Geranium, Patchouli & Mandarin Organic Soap
The Rose Geranium, Patchouli & Mandarin Organic Soap claims to be a luxurious blend of organic cacao butter, coconut & olive oils, resulting in a rich, creamy lather that leaves the skin soft and moisturised.
Sodium olivate (Olive oil)*, Sodium cocoate (Coconut oil)⁺, Sodium cocoa butterate (Cacao butter)⁺*, Citrus reticulata (Mandarin) peel oil, Pelargonium graveolens (Rose geranium) oil, Pogostemon cablin (Patchouli) Oil, Helianthus annuus* (Sunflower) and Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) leaf extract*. Linalool, citronellol, geraniol, limonene from essential oils.
*Certified organic. ⁺Fair trade. Ingredients 97.5% certified organic. Vegan. Palm oil free.
Apart from Essential oils which may irritate the sensitive, CosDNA returns favourable results for the 97.5% certified organic, vegan formula. Olive and Coconut Oils plus Cacao Butter comprise the nourishing base of this soap. Olive oil is mild on even sensitive skin and boosts the moisturising properties of the bar while coconut enhances lather and cleansing efficacy. Both incorporate fatty acids to reinforce the skin barrier and keep skin supple, a function that is exemplified by Cacao Butter.
Mandarin Peel, Rose Geranium and Patchouli Essential Oils contribute a refreshing, sweet scent that reminds me of musk lifesaver lollies from my youth. The smell soothes both mind and body. There’s also Sunflower and Rosemary Leaf extracts plus fragrance elements from essential oils (including Linalool, Citronellol, Geraniol, Limonene).
The soap is wrapped in an attractive compostable or recyclable paper so there’s no waste. Opening the bar, it’s clear that this is a hand made product, a gorgeous rustic finish that lacks geometric precision finished with an embossed stamp of the brand name and its motto. Presentation is simply beautiful!
The bar is quite hard and doesn’t get mushy if stored on a rack that allows air to circulate. It lathers beautifully with a little water. I like to use a loofah with bar soap so only the smallest amount is needed to generate a lightweight yet satisfying foam. It feels beautiful on the skin, cleansing effortlessly and rinsing well without any residue. It’s lovely to use in the shower, adding a touch of luxury to my wash routine. The 100g bar lasted me a month with twice daily use and I enjoyed every application!
Raspberry & Pomegranate Beauty Serum

Favourable results are returned from the CosDNA database, confirming product safety.
A brilliant cocktail of antioxidants and fatty acids, this golden serum incorporates several superstar oils. Packed with Vitamins A, E and D, Baobab comprises relatively even amounts of Oleic, Linoleic and Palmitic fatty acids. As such, it displays stellar moisturising properties, fast absorption and can improve elasticity. Similar properties justify the inclusion of Camellia and Macadamia Oils, both super sources of Oleic Acid (60-85%) while Hemp Seed Oil additionally contributes anti-inflammatory benefits. Avocado and Rapsberry Seed Oils (Omega-3 and -6, Polyphenols, Vitamins A, C, D and E) are able to nourish and strengthen the skin barrier as well as improve elasticity.
With 51% linoleic, 19% linolenic and 20% oleic acid plus Tocopherols (Vitamin E) and Carotenoids (Vitamin A), the skin-regenerative properties of Rosehip Oil are never in question. Pomegranate and Sea Buckthorn offer unique fatty acids which provide powerful antioxidant, moisturising and anti-inflammatory properties. The former is an abundant source of Punic Acid, the latter Palmitoleic (Omega-7).
Beautifully presented in a dark glass dropper bottle, the blend has a gorgeous hue, pleasing lightweight texture and natural nutty scent. A couple of drops are all that’s needed to cover face and neck, although because I enjoy it so much, I have often over-applied, adding 4-5 drops when mixing it in with cream. It absorbs quickly without any uncomfortable residue to leave skin feeling instantly nourished, a sensation that lasts well between applications. It’s sufficiently light that I can apply it day or night, especially now that it’s winter.
As to the results… As well as being a joy to incorporate into my routine, this oil serum keeps my skin feeling hydrated and supple, returning radiance to my complexion with increased elasticity and a youthful plumpness and glow. With no essential oils or troublesome inclusions, it’s bound to impress all skin types.
