The Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream is a lightweight, double-functioning eye cream that visibly brightens the eye area by helping diminish the appearance of dark circles and puffiness with 72% snail secretion filtrate, 5 types of peptides and niacinamide. The formula helps restore the delicate eye area and help prevent future signs of ageing while gently diminishing the appearance of fine lines.
Present at a dominant 72% concentration, Snail Secretion Filtrate is said to aid skin by hydrating, preventing ageing and improving wrinkles and scars. Sunflower Seed Oil is a well absorbed, lightweight oil without residue and rich in linoleic acid and Vitamin E. Essential fatty acids help to maintain the skin barrier and decrease transepidermal water loss, keeping skin supple and soft. Antioxidants provide anti-ageing advantages, caretenoids make it a good acne treatment while anti-inflammatory properties boost new cell production and reduce irritation for a radiant glow.
Due to its low molecular size, Sodium Hyaluronate can reach deep into the dermis to combine with, maintain and attract water making it a superb natural moisturiser. Vitamin B5, Panthenol is also able to reach into the lower layers for deep cell absorption and hence effective moisturisation. Ceramide NP displays water retention capability, helping to strengthen the moisture barrier by replenishing natural lipids lost due to environmental factors. Fatty alcohols, emollients and humectants accompany these notable ingredients, providing a solid, all round moisturising formulation. Allantoin is found in the root of the Comfrey herb. It is able to promote healing while also increasing the water content of the skin. This in turn encourages sensitive skin to become more resilient and promotes moisture barrier repair.
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is a superstar ingredient that acts as a restorative agent. It helps to brighten skin by inhibiting melanin production and is also an effective treatment against hyperpigmentation. Adenosine and Vitamin E join a host of peptides (Copper Tripeptide-1, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7) promising improved elasticity and anti-aging benefits. Peptides act as building blocks of proteins such as collagen, elastin and keratin which are responsible for skin texture, strength and resilience. They can help to improve skin firmness and the appearance of wrinkles for a more youthful appearance.

The eye cream comes in an opaque white cylindrical bottle with an airless pump dispenser and protective cap.
Apply after serum onto the face and neck evenly and pat lightly to aid absorption.
This eye cream has a very slight scent which is barely detectable. No fragrance is added to the formula.
A 25ml bottle of the Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream sells for AUD$34.99.
The eye cream has a three year shelf life and must be used within 12 months of opening.
Perfectly presented, the airless pump packaging is great for hygienic and elegant dispensing. One pump is the ideal amount to coat the full eye area. The pump is a little temperamental, the volume dispensed not always the same. Nonetheless, this is a minor concerns as it’s easy to govern the amount to release when less than a full pump is needed.
The bottle contains 25ml of product, which for an eye cream, is a very good amount. It’s also well priced when many competitor products charge exorbitant amounts for creams designed for the delicate eye area. It’s hard to know how much remains as the bottle is opaque and lightweight to begin with so, so gauging volume by feel or sight is tricky. Holding the bottle up a strong ray of natural light however will indicate the level of cream remaining. Based on that, I would estimate that this eye cream should last at least 3 months with twice daily use.
It glides on super easily with plenty of slip. The texture retains the typical high concentration snail secretion stretch, similar to the famous sister product, the essence. It’s not slimy or sticky, rather very smooth and comfortable.
It glides on and absorbs effortlessly and I’m loving the lightweight texture, my favourite kind for an eye product. No sign of milia, just gentle and thorough moisturisation and suppleness. As for increased brightness, I can’t confirm this one way or the other as I generally don’t suffer from dark under eyes however the inclusion of Niacinamide fairly high up in the formula would suggest it’s totally possible.
As for the anti-aging claims, well the peptides are represented at the lowest concentration but there are some super ingredients towards the top of the list that also contribute improvements to sagging skin and deceased elasticity. It’s hard to determine whether after 6 weeks of consistent use the skin around my eyes is brighter or firmer but it’s certainly feeling very soft, moisturised and perhaps even a little more elastic. I will be curious to see the effects after completing the full bottle.
This is a beautiful, affordable eye cream that delivers all the major benefits I look for in such a product. It’s packaging is ideal, it’s formula gentle and it’s results positive. It definitely has my tick of approval!
